Where's the incentive for Ottawa? That's two cap dumps, neither of whom are great players, and they're giving up an intriguing piece in Jaros. An upgrade from a 5th to a 3rd isn't worth it.

Fair enough, although I think he basically is what he is at this point and that's an overpaid 3rd pairing D. He'd for sure be a safe and decent partner for one of the young kids (Wolanin, Brannstrom, Lajoie) but he's nowhere near good enough to be the desired piece in a trade. Dropping Jaros from that trade is already a step in the right direction; the Sens should never have to pay to acquire either of those pieces, they should be paid.
