I don't see Tampa making that Killorn trade

1. Tampa will definitely get a better offer for Killorn
2. They wpnt trade him to a division rival
3. Leafs are the last team in the league that should look into acquiring him

While I could see Detroit taking on one of the guys like Johnsson or Kerfoot, I don't see them giving up Fabbri to do so, he was a great reclamation project last year, and would be good on the second line with Zadina. Unless someone is over-valuing the year he had, which this is not, I don't see him being moved.

That Stars trade is bad value for the Leafs. You could argue Klinger’s low contract amount off sets the difference in remaining term but Nylander is signed for a pretty nice cap hit as well. Johns hasn’t looked as good since coming back from his concussion issues. He’s a very similar player to Holl from what I’ve seen, so I’m not sure why you’d want to swap a solid player that’s signed for another 3 years for a pending UFA with injury concerns. Don’t get me wrong I love Johnsy, but I’m trying to look at it from Toronto’s side

What about Klingberg and Oleksiak?

Fabbri was one of the very few bright spots Detroit had last season. I seriously doubt he gets traded.

I like both of those players but I think if we move Nylander for a Rd it would have to come with a decent forward prospect

Oleksiak being as good as he’s been is one of the only reasons we might consider moving Klinger. No go

Slevin is right with his statement, for what he's paid and how good he's been for them it doesn't make sense for them to move him and even if we got him our left side becomes way too crowded, ELC contract on a forward or a low cap hit RFA forward with Klinger would be the best for both sides
