Honestly thought it would cost Kylington and a 2nd or 3rd to get Murray, Calgary accepts that deal for sure imo. Not sure if Bjug has value to Winnipeg but if they decide he’s worth acquiring as a player, not a cap dump then it’s fine I guess, I’m just used to seeing Bjug as a cap dump on here. Minny hates losing Fiala but they are fleecing Pittsburgh here. Guentzel is the best player, ZAR is solid and they get #15 too? Easy

Can’t say I likes it either. Just throwing some ideas out there. Figure nothings too crazy when JR is opining about how to shake things up. Plus Jake is from the Twin Cities area.

I get that. But I don't see us doing this. Guentzel is a great player and will produce no matter where he goes. But forgive me for saying this, but how much of that a product of the system and players he's with? How much drop off will he see if he goes from a skilled based system where he plays with Crosby and Malkin, to a defensive system where he plays with Ekker and Staal? On the flip side, we have been able to see Fiala flourish this year in our system. He's our most dynamic player and our most dangerous threat offensively. Sure Kaprizov is on his way and we hope he also takes off with us. But what I'm getting at is that we aren't about to trade away a sure thing for a potential (not saying he is a for sure downgrade, just potential) downgrade. And that's why it's a hard pass. Sorry for the long explanation, just wanted you to understand why!

Your explanation is very much appropriated and much more constructive than the standard Wild say no comment. Helps build better trade ideas for this forum.

I figured your proposal wasn't out of line or anything. So you deserved to know why. Can definitely see Rutherford making another big splash though. I wonder if he's going to parlay the 15th pick this year into anything?
