Agree, Kapanen was really disappointing especially during the final few games. But I don't think PHI wants to give up Myers. Perhaps trade him for Connor Murphy or MacKenzie Weegar?

Murphy maybe but I am not sure I like him enough. But the depth failed the team. Everyone on here likes to go after the stars and specifically Nylander but Nylander had 4 points and played well. Korpisalo stole game 1 and 5, he was the biggest difference in the series. Andersen could have had that 1st goal and the last one he let in was just garbage.

Yep I agree, Nylander played as good as we expected. Kapanen looked like he was having trouble cycling the puck, perhaps he's too straight line for Keefe's system. I felt Andersen made a lot of big saves this series especially coming off the rush, but in the playoffs, you need your goalie to steal games & he'll be remembered for allowing those howlers.

We'll give you a 2nd for Anderson and if he re-signs, then another 2nd. We aren't giving you a 1st though.

He was outplayed, he may not have cost us the series by himself but he didn't steal anything. Korpisalo stole game 1 and game 5. Credit should be given to Columbus they played a heck of a series, but for all their defensive brilliance, statistically TO should have won. They got better goaltending, some lucky bounces and outside of the Leafs big 4 and Engval, no one did much of anything.

Hawks might be interested in moving Murphy for Kap if 20 to 30 games into the season Mitchell is all he's cracked up to be. If Mitchell needs a season in the AHL, then not a chance we trade Murphy for Kap. We are plugged with middle 6 wingers and would have to move someone like Nylander to fit him.

I am not trying to pin it on him but he just hasn't won and I am sick of seeing goalies steal a game or two from the Leafs while our guy just is either good, good enough to win or just not good enough to win.

This is some pile on luongo because thomas is breaking records stuff. It's not on fred at all that the leafs couldn't score

It's on Korpisalo, he played terrific. Andersen played well. I don't blame him for game 3 or any of the first 3 in game 4 but game 1, he was the difference between Columbus and TO. Game 5, the first one was a fluke but the 2nd was straight garbage. I think he deserves some blame and the depth should get a lot of blame as well. People are piling on the stars and the defence but I was impressed with the defence, I thought they played quite well, they didn't give up much in the way of chances. Forwards not taking their responsibility as the high man when a defenceman pinches killed us.

the 2nd goal came in the 3rd period when the leafs refused to score.
They never gave him a chance or made it close.
There is alsl a big difference between not showing up and getting out played by a fantastic performance

Andersen could have stolen a game, he didn't and hasn't in the playoffs for 2 seasons now. Playing good enough to not be the reason we lost isn't good enough.

Andersen did not get a shutout in game 1. The Leafs lost 2-0. Andersen let in a rather soft goal that proved to be the winner. TO outshot them and out chanced them but they lost. They dominated game 2 and won and then gave game 3 away with blown assignments that lead to odd man rushes. Game 4 the core willed their way to a win and in game 5, Korpisalo beat Andersen. He isn't the sole reason they lost but he certainly didn't steal anything and that is a difference. Korpisalo stole 2 games while Andersen lost one and gave up a killer late in game 5.

You mean the game where TO out shot them 35-20 and gave up almost zero high danger chances? Easiest shutout of his career.

Not really. Game 2 was a gem of a game from TO. They kept everything outside and dominated the game. Korpisalo is the only reason it wasn't 8-0.
