I love this!! this is kinda the "best case scenario" offseason for the jets.
Ive been on this site talking about adding Stastny as well as being open to moving the 1st (if they get it) for the 3rd and 5th. I think Laf will be good, but Byfield has a high ceiling and so does Drysdale. Not sure if OTT does that without a little bit more coming their way (maybe adding a Niku or Stanley?)

It's not likely the Jets or anyone would trade 1OA, but that doesn't mean it would be a bad idea. Stastny is a cap dump, so that is too much to give up for him.

Yeah we are. We're giving then a 3rd, when it should be no higher than a D/E prospect and we're wasting 5 mil of cap space.

The 3rds are swapped for a better draft....Stastny is not a waste of 5M as a necessary 2C...

We need a long term 2C, not to throw away assets on a rental again. The Jets aren't making a Cup push next year, so yes, Stastny is a waste of cap space.

1st ovr. for 3rd ovr. + 5th ovr. is an interesting idea; I'm not sure Ottawa accepts that, since I feel like they'd prefer Stutzle/Byfield + probably Drysdale or Rossi to Laf, but it's honestly one of the more plausible 1st ovr. trades. With Stastny, Vegas only trades him if it's assured Lehner will stay with the extra cap gained from trading Stastny, and even then, for more than -1 draft pick, so that's an easy no. Not like you'll need him anyways with one of Stutzle or Byfield.

Don't the Jets need that 2021 3rd for a Cirelli offersheet?!... 😃

Stuztle is just as good...Byfield has the strength and size with his game and Stuztle has the quickness...Both will be excellent choices as a 2C for the Jets.
