And it seemed after the loss to washington things were going down hill fast for them. They grab Gabranson (Luckily got him out). Traded Kahun for Depth a which made 0 sense. Why not just trade for sheary lul wouldnt have costed that much. They even bought this season bringing in Marleau and Zucker and moved picks and prospects who could have been better future options for them. So it seems they have veered off the path and are struggling to find it again. Hopefully they do. And if JJ is still playing on this team next season instead of one of the better rookie options they got i dont know anymore.

Oh and for god sake if he goes dont bring in Babcock cause he is a slight improvement in attitude issues.

I agree with you but if you still think there’s a now or never approach then the team you put together doesn’t make sense. You’re going to bring up young players which could be a good thing but that means the window is officially shut and we are beginning the next phase as a franchise that will have to rebuild. Basically Monday night is the biggest moment for us since the 2005 lottery. The odds aren’t good that we land Lafreniere but if we do then we are saved. If we don’t then this core is officially 100% done and it’s time to not only move on from Sully but JR as well. And then you have to start to wonder how can we acquire young prospects or draft picks with an aging team.

One of Jarry or Murray will be moved. Both won't be back. My guess is Penguins sign Jarry to a similar deal that Binnington got ($4M x 2 years) and trade Murray's rights. Murray isn't their guy anymore. Time to bring him some younger assets while they still can which could help

there is no point in the, developing.....garbage anymore. It's not like Crosby and Malkin are completely washed. They aren't. But you can't stick sheary on their damn wing anymore. They need support.
If Poulin is the best option there than you do it. And he is a better option than Sheary. There is no point in not giving these guys a chance. You have to throw out all the stops because 1 or 2 more years and that's it, it's over.
