CHI won 3 cups with two different goalies, but they had great defense and Selke finalists in each of those cups in Toews and then Hossa a 2-way beast. 2-way Hockey wins championships. STL did indeed need to find a goalie, but his .914 playoff SV % isn't the main reason they won. They won because they were two way beasts. Sharp said multiple times during the finals that it was like they're human missiles out there. TOR can't match that intensity.

Without Binnington the blues dont even make the playoffs.
And the point was that defence doesnt win championships because you need other things to be going well to win too so you can win a championship. BUT if someone was to insist defence wins championships (like they always do) then they should give most of that defence credit to the goalies because they are the biggest factor.
