Bailey is a fine acquisition for us, as is Bellows, but we really can't afford Hickey even with retention

Brassard went from arguably the worst player in the NHL (as a center) last season to a productive middle 6 RW this season. With the flat cap I just don't think middle 6 wingers will be able to command much more than this, plus brassard likes it on Long Island and is very close beauvillier and Pageau.

what about with hickey at 750k retained? I posted this trade a few days ago and a few sharks fans agreed you guys can afford this package, but I haven't looked into it.

we are getting a 3rd pick back, obviously this isn't the true value of Bailey and bellows, but in a flat cap world we might have to get creative and do something like this. I don't want to trade Bailey right now, but it might be harder to move him next offseason - and for whatever reason the isles are not high on bellows (according to Arthur staple) so that's why I included him.

Man I dunno, We really really don't need him, and really really can't afford taking on his cap hit. Maybe consider trading him elsewhere? I just really don't see any way it could work if he costs more than 1.25 million.
