Buffalo need one or two Top 6 Fowards.....The only place that we have depth is RHD, so 0% chance this trade works

But also the premise is pretty wrong. Buffalo doesn't need Defensive help. They have a top 10 defense. What they need desperately is goaltending help. Ullmark and Hutton are both below average and UPL's struggles in the ECHL aren't inspiring.

Reinhart is pretty similar to Strome in that he's a 65-70 point player with an elite linemate. 80+% of Reinhart's NHL minutes have been spent dragged along by ROR and Eichel. He was a 45-50 point player next to ROR and a 60-70 point player with Eichel. Logically next to lesser linemates he'd a 35-40 point player....similar to Ryan Strome.

Swap Deangelo for Strome + 2nd and you'd be a lot closer in value...

Ullmark is fine just has injury concerns. They do need a better 1b or backup. UPL was an ECHL all-star this year too, he struggled a little bit in his limited AHL action.

Ullmark has been pretty terrible - 57th out of the 65 goalies over the last 2 seasons who have faced 1000 shots. number 58 was Martin Jones lol.

UPL plays behind a very good defense but his individual play has been pretty poor, he's a middle of the road ECHL goaltender. SV% is close to league average.

It was his first two years. A .915 save percentage is pretty good. They need another reliable goalie that can see the puck that can play 30 games. I don’t know too much about the Cincy ECHL team, but a .912 save percentage for a 20 year old isn’t bad. Hopefully an AHL season happens next year to see how close he is.

This doesn't happen, but if it did, it would be because Botterill wasn't truly fired. Think that guy thought "Defence wins championships" meant "If you have a whole bunch of defencemen, you'll win!".

Reinhart hasn’t played center since October Of 2017 and he’s 2-3 million dollars underpaid.

Cincy's D was utterly ridiculous. They gave up 100 less shots than the next best defensive team....

Again I'm not saying it's bad. But based on his performance thus far, the odds of him even making the NHL are maybe 50/50.

His play with another great defensive team in Rochester isn't too inspiring either.

I hope for your guys sake he can turn it around and get past these setbacks.

Wow, where do I begin? Buffalo has more defensemen than they know what to do with, especially on the right side. I’m also surprised you think the Rangers would even consider trading DeAngelo, Rangers fans talk about him like he’s the second coming of Brian Leetch. This is also not a logical trade for Buffalo, moving Reinhart doesn’t make sense. They are more likely to offer a defenseman for a center. I also expect they may look for a veteran Band-Aid goaltender for 2 seasons in free agency until UPL is ready.

I see you are Rangers fan, who knows a lot about Buffalo. In fact more than most Sabre AGM I must say.
Or is hockey knowledge universal and include all NHL, AHL and ECHL teams?
You are the first person to comment that Buffalo has a top 10 defense, ALL of the Sabre AGM think other wise.
You are also correct about Rochester's defense, again it takes a Ranger's fan to see that.
I am not sure why I have not noticed your posts before, but rest assured, you have been added to my very small list of trusted commentators.
Finally, I hope you are wrong about UPL, but based on your other comments, you just put me into a state of despair.

Let me finally ask for your opinions on:
Krueger did a terrible job last year.
The Sabres a lot closer than most Sabre AGM believe.
Trade a RHD for a LHD.
Sign a UFA GK.

I just don’t know if adding AG makes it fair
