Sens aren't moving from 5th to the mid to late 20s for Puljujarvi, Benning and Athanasiou. Not even close.

I also think they should stay away from Neal's contract. They should focus more on shorter term cap dumps imo.

That is too much for Hoffman on a flat cap. If he accepts a 1 - 2 year deal maybe. If he is getting 5 years he shouldn't get more than 6.

that philly trade is a lot to process. i dont know. those are the type of blockbusters that makes the league fun tho

I get this isn’t reality, but the addition of McDavid is quickly overshadowed by the huge gaping hole COL now has on the back end with no picks to use to replenish.

As for a discussion on value, it’s difficult to project when you flood 3 1sts over 3 years. Who knows, maybe COL misses the playoffs and wins a lottery or two. What’s the depth of the 21 and 22 draft class? Too many variables in piling picks. I’d be interested in what a trade proposal looks like containing actual players/prospects so we can better determine the real value of each piece

McDavid,l trade you aren’t getting Makar in that package swap Newhook in and yes. Makar is literally 2nd only to MacKinnon in being untouchable and yes I know it’s McDavid but I didn’t want to rework your whole trade so I tried to be as fair to both teams as possible and Newhook seemed to be the most sensible solution as it sends a C back.

Completely disagree about the Flyers doing that trade. If I made a list of Flyers that I am unwilling to trade it's 1. Couturier, 2. Hart.
Our offense is already pretty good and while this trade makes it better, it makes our team defense significantly worse, our goaltending actually terrible, and our cap unmanageable.

If that's what Edmonton wants, my ask would be McDavid. Edmonton declines and then we go back to building around these two.
