Blind arguing is dumb dude. You aren’t giving me reasoning amor insight just dumb fan biased opinions. I’ve read about his injury and the from office issues now you show me anything that says he’s not going anywhere?
I usually reserve nuanced arguments for people who bother to show a willingness to think things through, but I'll go ahead and spell it out for you.
For one, I'm saying that your memory of what you've read is colored by confirmation bias. The injury isn't expected to be career-affecting (he was trying to avoid having to lose time to surgery by playing through it, not getting regularly reinjured or anything like that), and the front-office issues were three years ago. There's plenty of speculation (that's where the headlines come from), but nothing confirmed.
But much more important is your absurd position w/r/t his salary. His present pay rate was the low offer that Kekalainen said "take it or leave it" to that CAUSED that contentious negotiation three years ago that you're leaning on. He's had two VASTLY better seasons since then (and one injury-marred one). And now all of a sudden you think you're going to get him to take a $225K
discount? The very suggestion is beyond absurd. You're trying to have it both ways - putting extra emphasis on a three-year-old contract dispute as reason for him to leave us, and then turning right around and fiscally screwing him even harder. That's why I didn't bother to offer a full counterargument when you tried to blow me off - because while accidents happen and so benefit of the doubt applies with an initial reply,
doubling down on that bull**** is such a ludicrously excessive degree of fail that any benefit of the doubt was immediately forfeit. And I generally opt not to waste that much time with folks who evidently didn't bother to do any research beyond glancing at headlines and thereafter going immediately into vulture mode.
