Dont mess with the chemistry of the team moving 4 roster players out who have had great seasons for them.
Reinhart is a nice add but they would have to do it in a different way, dont destory the locker room for no reason

There's no reason for Johansson to be included in this deal, so maybe remove him and Compher, and change Donskoi into a pick. Graves + Kaut + pick should be enough for Reinhardt. That way you're not gutting the Avs lockeroom, while only moving one player off the roster (who is also an RFA as well), a prospect, and picks.

Wouldn't exactly called Kaut a roster player. Hes played all of 9 games...

The pick would need to be a 1st since it would be a late one. Also I'm not sure why you would need that many right wingers.

A prospect = Kaut
Picks = Whatever value is needed to balance the trade.

As for your RW comment, Compher is our 3C, so we'd have Reinhardt as 2RW, Donskoi as 3RW, and Calvert as 4RW.

'destroy the locker room' is a bit dramatic; winning would take care of that.

I like this deal as it frees up the extra two years commitment of Donskoi & Compher. Any roster holes can be filled with cheap Vets like Riley Sheahan

Players understand its a business, plus I don't think trading for 2 proven NHL players is sending a bad message, I would say it's sending a message to take the next step.

Compher and donskoi are younger versions of Mojo, that’s not a business move that’s just dumb asset management

Buffalo needs value back for Reinhart. Of course Mojo isnt equal to those 2.

And to my point, you don’t your roster moving 4 guys from it for reinhart

They need value back but the idea is to add to the depth not take 4 guys out and put 2 back in

How is that relevant to this avs team, their Locker room and their mgmt coaching group

The trades are both clear upgrades, aimed at pushing the team over the top, and require sacrificing major pieces.

The more I think about it, the more I like this trade.
