Maybe if some gms were to threaten Lou to os Barzal and/or Pulock... As of now they have 8 millions to sign both (im not even sure thats enough for Barzal alone). Plus, some 3rd and 4th line guys. At some point, they'll have to shed some money and giving away leddy wont be enough.

I know they are in caphell with Barzal Pulock and Toews etc etc but no way they trade Dobson just to ease that situation. This guy is a future top 2-3 Dman for the next decade. I think he as more potential than Romanov but let's say MTL is tight with the cap and Idk Suzuki and Petry has to be sign (closest comparison for Barzal and Pulock even if it's not even close), would you trade Romanov just to get rid of Alzner?

I think Wahlstrom/Wilde/Bellows/Holstrom could all be traded as a sweetner before Dobson if so. Even then, they can find others way to work around that cap. FFS I would even think about letting go of pulock or toews just to keep that young stud, he can easily replace them and will be cheap for at least another 3-4 years.

I agree with you I think Dobson is going to be a stud and as much as I’d love for him to be a hab I can’t see it happening. If we’re looking at moving on from Petry then I’d definitely consider offer sheeting Pulock he could be a great Petry replacement.
