Why wouldn't a time just sign Lehner for over a million less. Lehner is way better and you don't have to give up any picks for him.

The hawks have so many tweener players, Suomela just adds to the list. They rather keep the 4th. San Jose should be looking to keep these players, as their bottom 6 isn't pretty.

Or you trade from a place of organizational strength, like a young RFA goalie you can trade for positive assets. Georgiev is just another in the line of goalie's
Benoit Allaire gets to work with. Talbot, Raanta, even working with Pavalec he was serviceable. The Rangers have another 3 goalie prospects in Wall, Huska and Lindbom. Two of which will likely be the 1A/1b for hartford next year.
