I'm so done with these Eichel to habs trades. They're all the same.

Let's start with Max Domi. He's not a first line center and just had a down season compared to last season. He's nowhere near the value guys think he's at. Next Kotkaniemi. Sure he was drafted 3rd overall. But, he was just sent down to the minor in his D+2 year. That's gonna scare some teams, plus bring his value way down. I don't know why Habs fans are so high on this guy and think he has such a high value. Alexander Romanov seems pretty good and I feel like you would have to include him in an Eichel trade. But, he hasn't even played in the NHL or AHL yet, so we don't know if he is the real deal or not. I also feel like the 2020 first has to be included so keep that in the deal. However, you don't just add that 2020 second, you add more of the Habs' firsts. A second isn't enough.

Here's what I think an Eichel to the Habs deal should look like. Buffalo sends Eichel, Ristolainen plus a bad contract like Okposo to Montreal for Phillip Danault (as he is a pretty good 2nd line center), Max Domi, Cole Caufield, Alexander Romanov, your 2020 1st (if you don't get the 1st overall pick), your 2021 first, your highest 2020 2nd rounder, and finally, Jeff Petry, as he is a good top 4 rhd that the Sabres need.
Sure it's probably an over payment. But an over payment is what's gonna get you Jack Eichel. He's a 1st line center. He’s a potential 100 point player if he’s paired with decent wingers. They don't just grow on trees, They're extremely valuable and hard to get. You can't just give what you want to get you want. If you don't wanna do a trade like that, then don't bother posting Eichel trades. Their really annoying.

You forgot about the Drouin straight up for Eichel. That one was terrible.

Romanov is untouchable. It would be closer to a Domi, KK, Poehling, Brook, 9th overall and 2021 1st rounder (top 3 protected)
or if you really wanted to go all out, Domi, Tatar, Danault, 2021 1st rounder
