I wouldn't do it if I were the Kings. Lose 5 years of longevity on your new franchise player and also your 2nd best prospect? Eichel is a fantastic player, but not worth two top 5 overall picks, especially when he already has a $10M cap hit.

The cap hit isn’t the issue when getting a player of Eichel’s caliber. It’s just a lot to give up. Value is prolly close to what it would take though

Both teams pass on this deal. Eichel has never said he wants out and the Sabres only trade him if he does. Kings have a great young core they are building. I don't see them blowing that up right now.

Additionally Oilers don't make that trade they are looking for depth up front not at right D
