Description
Please no hate. I know this would most likely never happen but if it did it would be cool. I just want to know from rangers and sabers fan what they think of the nash and nylander trade. Also idk of the lineups would look like this idk how the team plays together.
Transactions
1.
STL
  1. Choix de 1e ronde en 2017 (NYR)
2.
NYR
  1. Nylander, Alexander
Détails additionnels:
The 1st rounder in 2018 will only be Givin to the sabers if nylander can play in the 16-17 season. And the 2019 would be Givin if nylander can win rookie of the year.
BUF
  1. Nash, Rick
  2. Choix de 1e ronde en 2018 (NYR)
  3. Choix de 2e ronde en 2018 (NYR)
  4. Choix de 1e ronde en 2019 (NYR)
Détails additionnels:
(Retain 3 million from nashs contract). I think nylander will be able to jump into the nhl and get around 35 points if used well. This trade could be good for both teams, rangers giving up a big contract for a promising young player, buffalo giving a young player wich they have plenty of to get a great veteran and some draft picks.

Not sure if a first alone would get you Shattenkirk but this lineup looks fantastic!

I don't think these trades would happen but the lines should probably be:

Kreider - Stepan - Zucc
Vesey - Zib - Miller
Nylander - Hayes - Buch
Fast - Lindberg/Jooris - grabner

Bad trade for the Sabres. Those conditions would never be met if the NYR are smart. Any small injury that would normally be played through, the kid would be "injured" and miss the game. Keep the kid in the juniors for half the season to nix any reasonable chance at RotY. So the Sabres give up Nylander for two years of Nash and a 2nd rounder. They are probably 2-3 years away from really competing a 70p Nash might open their window this year, but he's a big question mark.

St Louis is in a win now mode, So a 2017 1st round pick does them absolutely no good, Army will want at least a decent prospect back for Shattenkirk on top of a pick at least. St Louis lost Backes and Brouwer and gained Perron seriously doubt that they can afford to lose Shattenkirk as well without a decent player in return.

RWfan56 is right-
On HF Boards here is what was offered and scoffed at by STL poster:
to Nj:
Shattenkirk

to STL:
Reid Boucher LW
John Quenneville C
2017 2nd (Nj)
2017 2nd (Bos), turns into a 2017 1st on the condition Shattenkirk re-signs with Nj.

I think if a first is all that it took, teams would line up around the block

Smitty426, as an blues fan, I think that would be a fair trade and would take that deal.

The old conflict....Blues are in "win mode" so they don't make draft pick trade for Shattenkirk. New Jersey is in the ever building mode and doubt if they would give up futures for one year Shattenkirk.

Ranger fans are like the spoiled children....I want, I want at any cost. If the Blues were to trade, maybe the Ranger pick could be good. Might be a lottery pick.

What happens when STL doesn't get the value they want for Shattenkirk before the deadline and they know they can't resign him? Are they still scoffing at Smitty426 trade scenario? If so they are idiots and can't balance going all in to win now and preparing to lose Shatty for nothing / losing a good piece of your team in order to have long term prosperity.

What has more value? 20 reg season games and potentially up to 25 playoffs games from one player who is not even the best player at his position and your banking on the fact that they make it that far or 2 prospects (one of them a former 1st rounder) and two 2nd round draft picks with a strong chance of one of them being a 1st?

That's an easy trade for me. STL could make out like bandits. A single 1st rounder might be enough if it was a lottery pick. Otherwise the precedence set by other similar trades means a 1st rounder wouldn't be enough.

You're on here everyday bitching to NYR fans about how much the team sucks... Yet all we do is win. 29 loser teams every year. At least we have a chance. Stop crying your " MakebeLeafs " tears on us...
