Kings say no. They don't have any RHD in the pipeline to replace Walker. The only way that they'd be willing to trade one of Walker or Roy is if they got an immediate upgrade to their even weaker position in the lineup, which is top six wing.

In other words, the only way one of Walker or Roy are getting traded to Toronto is if Kapanen is coming back. The Leafs aren't going to want to do that, so they should probably look elsewhere for RHD.

Leafs don't need a LTIR cushion It's kinda fantasy CapFriendly that teams benefit from having LTIR. Now there was a reason the Leafs acquired Clarkson last September, but he had no effect on the Leafs cap. Bennett really isn't a good centre and certainly can't be moved in the lineup in case of injury to Matthews and Tavares.

That's why I overpaid for him. The Kings would probably take this offer for Walker.

Yeah didn't really think that through. My bad. But i disagree about Bennett, like Dylan Strome I think he could turn it around given the opportunity to do that in toronto.

And I'm telling you, no they wouldn't.

They would take that offer for Lizotte though.

It's like a broken record. Nobody listens. Toronto guys keep thinking that we'll give them one of our two young RDs in return for virtually useless or valueless assets.

Kings' center prospects include Vilardi (11th overall), Turcotte (5th overall), Kupari (first round), and Anderson-Dolan (second round and rated well above Der-Weinerschnitzel).

We're not interested in trading from a position where we have no depth (i.e., from weakness), especially for assets that have no current/immediate value to us.

And the idea that we would add anything in that trade is hilarious.

You get used to it after a while. I certainly understand the desire to make my team better while giving away nothing of value.

I wouldn't be adverse to the Kings acquiring SDA. He looks like a solid depth prospect with some upside, and he's expansion draft exempt to boot. I think moving someone like Lizotte that would likely get snagged by Seattle for him could be a good idea. I'd much rather keep Lizotte, but I'd prefer not to lose him for nothing.

Trading Walker or Roy for him, both of whom will be protected in the expansion draft, makes zero sense for LA.
