Ducks accept but doubtful Getlzaf waives NtC

If the ducks accept, chevy should be on a plane to Anaheim or wherever getzlaf is, to personally convince him to come back to the prairies

This is why we need to get him. He only has one year left and ANA is in a rebuild. I can see him waiving if he wants to win

It's not like he is ready to retire...why play a few more seasons on a crappy team?

Winning another cup isn't important to Getzlaf, So i doubt he'd waive his NMC for Winnipeg. Getzlaf made is pretty plain that he doesn't care if he's on a bad team for another season or so.

Anaheim wouldn't consider trading Getzlaf unless the offer included a 2020 first-round pick, or at least better players than these spare parts who do nothing to address Anaheim's primary needs of scoring and NHL-ready RD.

Yeah, who knows what the timing and sequence of events in this maelstrom is going to be.

Still if he’s traded, the likelihood of him not retiring as a duck skyrocket. It also won’t be the only teams he’s ever played for and he’s their captain. That stuff is important to players. However if he does say yes to the trade, the jets should be all over it.
