Aww man, poor Shawzy. It’s too bad that he’s probably done. He’s a hell of a player and a hell of a person, and it’s too bad that he had all the injuries he did. One of my favourite NHL players hands down.

Since you want to take the joke further, by "years of irrelevance", are you referring to your 47 season Stanley Cup drought?

I'm referring to the last 30 years or so I was a fan and during my lifetime, during the 80's early 90's was when I became a Hawks diehard. We were damn competitive during that time in the 90s, but there was a 10 year period of pain before the last 10 years of amazing hockey.

I'm sure you enjoyed watching the games from the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s...exciting times I'm sure; do you remember?
