Habs don't need another center, they need LHD and a back up goalie, the pieces used here would be better used to address those needs.

That’s why I don’t know if Edmonton says yes to this but it’s very tempting

Danault, Domi, Suzuki and KK are all top 6 centers either now or in the future. RNH on a long term contract would just take up another protection spot in the expansion draft and be another big contract that doesnt end till mid the players mid 30s. They are better to stick with the group of youth they have in the position now and see who shakes out into what.

Centers make great wingers, (Nuge included) also it’s better to have 5 or 6 in case of injury anyways. I’m not sure why I’m arguing though, I don’t want to make the trade either haha

That's a big package for a 28 YO FA (that will be signing a contract extension that kicks in when he turns 29 for 7 years). Would rather hold off and sign him in FA or let Edmonton overpay to keep him.
