why exactly do the Rangers do this?

1 good season after years of mediocrity and Strome is now a star 1C. I'd rather have Kerfoot at 3C than Strome. But I agree that I don't see why anyone would want to do this trade.

Lets be clear, here. I'm one of the people who wants Strome traded. But like, for actual value. Kerfoot making 3.5 doesn't move the needle for Strome by himself, let alone for the Rangers to add their 2nd best F prospect (now that Kakko & Chytil have graduated). Pretty sure the Rangers would want Robertson

Like I said, this is a mess. Honestly I have no idea why I spend so much time on this site, it just frustrates me. Everyone wants to trade half their team all the time and usually propose wildly unfair trades. Lol, its why I changed my name to please ban me, its for my own good for sure.

Ya Robertson is a future top-6 skilled forward. We will be leaning on his ELC next 2 years. If you want Robertson then we'd need to see DeAngelo worked in somehow, and even then we likely decline.

If you bothered to read... I asked does Strome get more then 3.5 million AAV in a scenario when there no CBOs and if the answer is yes then I think Rangers would trade him.

I was just trying something in different way to land an RD.
You think this not a good trade, okay add to the discussion on how improve and make it viable.

And for the record, I traded 2 roster players, 1 RFA and a pick from the Leafs away... not even close to half the team.

Don't get too caught up in the RD vs RHD BS on this site. Lehtonen could be very good in TO, Sandin can play that side as well. What hand a player shoots was the be all and end all with Babs.

Do you know if Lehtonen can well on his offside?
I have made some ACGMs with Rielly paired with Dermott and Lehtonen.

I think at Sandin's age, let him grow on the LD I think.
He might takeover Rielly's spot when his contract is up.

Lehtonen played an entire season at RD. Also in Keefe's system defenceman switch sides a lot. The most important thing is being able to carry the puck well.

I did in fact bother to read. I read you trading a C who just put up 59 points and the Rangers 2nd best F prospect for a 5'10 C who just scored 30 less points and actual trash in Bracco.

If the Rangers are trading that package, it'll be for something actually decent, not your garbage

Were it up to me, Lundqvist retirement & Strome trade. Solves issues simply & easily while adding assets
