Well the pairing is Jones-Werenski so just leave Trouba off and put Carlson on top pair with Hughes/CBJ duo as 2nd pair

@BeukeBOOMED Love this idea but I've got a few issues. Kaner, until he shows he's lost a step, is top line. You're missing the best American defender in John Carlson from the Capitals. But besides that I have a few personal preferences:

1.) I think I'd rather have Tkachuk on top line than Gaudreau. He's bigger and stronger and I think a better fit for Eichel and Kane. He can do all the dirty work while Kane and Eichel utilize their skill.
2.) I'd rather have Slavin for LD than Trouba (he's an RD anyways).

Can't break up the Jones/Werenski combo and Hughes is so dynamic he'll be the #1 or #2 defender by 2022. Would be a great combo with Carlson. So I put Hughes-Carlson, Jones-Werenski, Slavin-Fox

Exactly, until he shows me he doesn't deserve top line duties. He gets my vote.
