4 years for debrusk takes him directly to UFA without buying out any UFA years. So that just isn’t on the table. 3 years would be fine.

How are Bruins fans feeling about Studnicka? Would it be worth it to trade to trade for Anthony Cirelli or just allow him/Beecher to develop?

Bruins fans feel great about studnicka, and you can’t just trade a prospect for a guy like cirelli. I would trade him for cirelli in a heartbeat, but tampa isn’t here to help out the bruins.

Never said it was one for one. Just curious if you guys thought Studnicka would be a future #1C. TBL has some serious cap issues. BOS has some pretty decent prospects. Of course nothing's a guarantee.

Divisional rivals and Cirelli could cost a lot (return and $). I think Studnicka has the potential to be a 1C but I will wait and see how he does at 2C first.

Stud is one of their top two prospects (along with Urho) so its unlikely they will ever move him. But yeah Cirelli isnt gonna happen. Still having Bergy and Krejci at center (with Coyle at 3C and Kuraly at 4C) means there is no space for Cirelli yet. So letting stud develop one more year at RW will let him slide in at Krejcis spot soon

IDK if Stud will reach a true #1C, but we'd have to come to agreement on what a #1C is. If you look at the last 3yrs and the top 31 producing centers, the offensive output is around 65pts a year. I see a lot of a Bergeron type game with Studnicka. Now that's not saying he's going to be Bergeron, but both are 200ft players, good on the PK, high end hockey IQ. I'd expect at worst that Studnicka becomes a #2C in the NHL, but if he can put up the points while maintaining his defensive game, he could be a #1C.
