couple friendly points--not bashing you:
-the ZAR-bleuger-tanev line is an incredible shutdown line. tanev wouldn't be CBOd if there were 3 CBOs.
-consesus is JJ and BJugstad are as good as gone this offseason.
-Schultz has been awful this year and has has only 1 good year and been injury prone the whole time. His time in PIT is probably done.
-they really like McCann--he'll probably get more like $3-3.5M.

Is that Guentzel contract a top 10 contract in the league or am I out of my mind? Can Guentzel drive a line without Malkin or Crosby?

He's been amazing with Both Sid and Geno.
Define "drive a line".
He's been without both for a very limited sample size...just a couple games when they were both injured...
top contract for sure...40 goals for $6M!!!

If he was the best player on the line could he push possession and drive the play into the offensive zone.

I think he probably could if he had a decent Centre--even if not of Sid/Geno's caliber. I guess we'll see when they retire and if he's still here...

there are only 2 wingers in the whole league who can currently drive a line. One is Kane and the other is bread.

Every other winger needs a center to help.

I don't know why this person cbo tanev. Or why that is even a thing on here. Fans love him, coaches love him, the GM loves him. He's not going anywhere. He's more than worth that contract.
