So idk why so many people want to call Matthews better than Eichel. It literally makes no sense.

In their Careers: They have NEARLY IDENTICAL stat lines:
PPG of .95 for Eichel and 1.01 for Matthews
PS (Point share) of 37 for both of them (meaning that they are equal in terms of their offensive and defensive production
They are nearly equal defensively and possesnion wise (similar Blocks/82 games . Takeaways/82 and Giveaways/82)

The only differences are:
1. Eichel is more physical and tough (More hits/82 and he has had more fights though not by much)
2. Eichel is on the FAR worse team. His linemates arent players like Mitch Marner, he isnt playing in from of goalies like Freddy Anderson, he doesnt have Morgan Reilly, Jake Muzzin, Tyson Barrie, etc behind him . He had (the god, but not really) Zach Bogooooo, Ristolianen (who is overrated sorry Sabres fans), and a bunch of other nobodys.

Matthews is NOT better. If anything Eichel is better, NOT BY MUCH, but a bit

I hold no horse in this race, I hate both teams. Im just a realist
