What are you talking about his floor is Zack Hyman? He's 24, he's not some up and coming prospect, he's coming into the prime of his career. Nothing in his career up to this point suggests he's more than a caveman 4th liner.

He is a 18 point player in 59 games this year. Ge is not getting you KK.

He is probably a 4th line checking guy, 10 to 12 minutes a game if lucky and might be a good locker room guy but he is not a vital piece to a team.

Brendan Lemieux is more of a 3rd line player that's talented enough to move up to the top 6 from time to time or play 2nd line power play if someone is needed for net front presence or to block the goalie's view - or provide protection when ever it's needed for the top 6.

If Lemieux scored 15-20 goals next season it wouldn't be overly surprising. There aren't many players in the League like Lemieux and if he's traded it's practically a certainty that his role with the Rangers couldn't be replaced.

Lemieux has value to NYR and I would think Gorton would ask for a lot in return for him. Much more so then most teams would be willing to pay for a 3rd line player.

I hope NYR signs Claesson this off-season, but I see him resigning with NJD.

I get Rangers fans like him, but he shouldn't be mentioned in the the same breath as guys like Wilson or the Tkachuks. He's closer to Ryan Reaves than those guys.

Not saying he's not a guy you want in the lineup, but he's got a long way to go before I'd feel comfortable with him in my top 9.

I agree that he not in the same breath as Wilson and certainly not Tkachuk, but he's a better player than Reaves. Whenever Lemieux started on the 4th line he was usually playing on the 3rd line if/when the lines were shortened to three.
