I don’t understand why you keep trading Marner for such a huge return if you think he’s overpayed / isn’t valuable to the Leafs. If you’re gonna trade him, it should be as a cap dump.

Connor is a better goal scorer but marner is a better playmaker and has better hands. And he plays on the pk and pp. I might be biased but in the leafs situation I would want marner

I'm taking Marner no question. Not particularly biased either way I don't think. Marner's not my favourite leaf by any stretch but you've gotta give credit where its due. Different types of players though, not trying to disrespect Connor

Marner and quite easily. 161pts over the last 141 games (1.14ppg)...Connor has 139 in 153 over the same time frame (0.91ppg)

Connor scores more but it doesnt make up that massive gap. Id be willing to bet Connor never hits the 94pts Marner had as a 22 year old

for the leafs purposes I'm taking tkachuk, but it would depend on what my team needs. For a team like WSH that has a bit more grit and leadership, I might take Marner, but for a team like the leafs that has loads of skill but lacks what tkachuk brings, I'm taking that all day.

Nah. Tkachuk will affect free agents. Every free agent won't sign because you have Tkachuk on your team. Every player hates Tkachuk and doesn't mind Marner so I take Marner

they hate to play against him, but his game is very respectable. But, Marner leaving may harm Matthews' desire to stay, so for that reason only I'd keep him

Personally, I’d take Marner cuz he’s more skilled. I think they’re on the same level overall but Tkachuk’s playing style probably suits more teams cuz he’s a power forward who can score.

Marner imo. Would say though that Tkachuk has more value due to his contract.
