Columbus Declines. We have no use for Tuch. Even if Anderson is gone Tuch is still a 3rd or 4th line RW in Columbus and at his contract he isn't worth it. Also Statsny is a decent 2nd line center but for how long? He's getting up their in age and a slow down is coming soon, hopefully after his contract, Plus he's a rental so is a one year fix. Last point is that Columbus can't afford both Tuch and Statny next year, thats 10+ mil of cap and only losing Nuttivaara and Wennberg isn't enough when PLD, Anderson, Gavrikov, Merzlinkins, Korpisalo and other need new contacts. Columbus isn't in a spot to add cap. If you want to make a trade like this work it would have to be Murray, Anderson and Wennberg for Statny and Tuch. That way the cap hits offset a little bit, but again Columbus really has no interest in this trade as Statny is a renal.

They can sign both goalies and buy out or trade Stastny. Haul would be itching to play in Vegas again for cheap if they need another center.

that’s debatable that that number will be retired.

You can debate whether it should or not but they love Fleury in the organization and I think they would think it's cool he's the only one to wear it.

Management is absolutely appreciative to Fleury that I don't see how they won't honor him with it, even if the merits could be dubious.
