With Boqvist, Murphy and Mitchell on the right side, CHI don't need DeAngelo.

Also for a young two-time 50 point C $3M is a ridiculous offer.

It’s called a bridge deal
Also DeAngelo is currently better then any of Chicago’s RHD and i’m expecting Murphy being traded anyway (just a gut feeling)

He's in pace for 53 points this year as well.

Bridge deals are offered usually to players that have something to prove. 50 point C's don't really count on that.

Why should they move Murphy though? He's pretty good.

Can not see Chicago giving up Strome and moving back 4 spots in the draft for DeAngelo.

Rangers fan have never explained why Smith would be willing to to allow his M NTC to be traded to the Sens? Think it's just wishful thinking.
Not sure how the bonus structure is paid, but the Rangers shouldn't be spending near the cap, if they don't want any bonus carryover next season.

Agreed...and if Strome was going to accept $3M....He'd be staying in CHI.

He has missed one (1) game. Others have been due to injuries, which are not exactly his fault.

I could switch to Anaheim or Colorado if that makes you feel any better
The reason why we usually pick Ottawa is cause of Melnyk is cheap and Smith actual salary is low next season and Ottawa need to reach cap floor, perfect Melnyk match
And there’s many reasons a player have different teams on their accepted list

I think OTT has done enough favors for NYR with the Zibanejad trade. They're not taking Smith without good compensation. They already have 6 better d-men in their roster as it is...

I'm an iddiot because I corrected you? Lol..

He's not getting to 50 - why is not relevant. Hence, you're wrong.

Yeah I'm speaking in future. With his current pace, he'd reach 50 points. It's pure math really. 38 points divided by 58 games equals .655 points a game, and that times 81 games he could've played in a full season (not counting injuries because they are impossible to foretell) and you get 53 points.

So mathematically if he keeps up this level of scoring, he would eventually score 50 points.

Granted this would need the season to actually restart again, which I am not certain about...

Points per game tell more about the players performance than the actual points. Otherwise it would mean that all players that get injured lose all of their value. How hard it is to understand that much?

Must be very hard for you it seems.

In reality players that are frequently injured lose their value - big time. I agree with you that ppg tells more about a player than his point total but missed games are still missed games.

I'd bet with you that every GM prefers a 0.4 ppg player who plays 82 games over a 0.8 ppg player who misses half of the season. Because it has more value on the ice and respectively off the ice as well.

You can turn it anyway you want you're just simply not telling the thruth.

Strome hasn't exactly missed half a season. He's missed around 10 games...

laugh laugh Sergachev isn't signing that offer sheet, He's not leaving low tax Florida for a city that has among the highest taxes in the world. You'd probably have to offer sheet him closer to $8 million per for at least 5 or 7 years for him to sign it.
