Hawks should draft Askarov. Definitely not in need of another dman and hawks have some solid prospects at the wing position. Hagel is looking like a top 9 player, Teply looking like a middle six winger, not to mention the Hawks have a couple prospects over in Russia who are looking pretty good too.

Hawks need to give Lankinen NHL time. He was unreal at IIHF last year vs NHL players.

Askarov isn't going to be NHL ready for some time which should allow Lankinen to get plenty of opportunities. Askarov will most likely spend next season as a backup in the KHL, followed by another season as a starter in the KHL, followed by a season in the AHL, before finally getting time as an NHL backup

Hawks just brought up Hagel so you might be on to something

I would be so angry if we drafted askarov. We definitely need a top offensive prospect. the 2 you mentioned as you say are top 9 potentially. the others in Russia are no guarantee and this has a really good draft class for the type of winger we need. Holtz IMO should be our target if on the board for our pick providing we don't win the lottery.

I like raymond over Holtz despite his lack of production

I like Holtz because of his size. I think he also has good skating ability too from the limited I have seen. TBH I wouldn't mind if we drafted Raymond though.

My preference would be for Holtz however.
