Interesting concept. Ehlers would be a significant loss. I would prefer to see what it would take to land Domi without Ehlers going back.

Drouin is almost as good...unless he is injured... If it helps sway MTL into trading Domi, I would do it

But yah, I would rather get just Domi

Drouin is terrible, he's horrendous defensively, and at 5v5 isn't anything special offensively

Yeah I might do Ehlers for Domi 1 for 1 (probably not though). So if that was a 1 for 1, it would be Drouin + 3rd for Heinola, Vesalainen, Perreault, and a 2nd. Thats a big no.

I like it, as a habs fan I think its a deal but boy getting rid of Domi sucks! Thing is, Bergevin wants to make the playoffs and Heinola and Ves can probably play in the NHL next year but I dont think they will have a great impact right now. Short term its a downgrade but it could be a win in the near future if both develop as promise. This is a head scratcher! Wich means its a well done trade... I just have the feeling Vesalainen will bust, this is the only reason I would hesitate if Im MB.
