A backup caliber goalie, a head case, a prospect that has done little at the AHL level. Jesus. 🙄

1st/Fox/Chytil/Georgiev. Even that they’d pass on but it’s a start.

Getting Tkachuk starts with Kratsov, Strome and Georgiev. Add a defenseman (Hajek), two picks (NYR '21 first, BUF '21 third). Put Ottawa in a position to see that they're not getting rolled. As likely as it will be that they'll get Lafreneire and/or Byfield, giving them incentive to part with Tkachuk has to come with less feeling of loss and more feeling of gain.

The selling point here is giving them NHL players, allowing their rebuild to move faster.

Yup. Backup caliber. 🤷🏻‍♂️

There are some great backup goalies in the league. The top 10 or so backups are on on par with the bottom 10 starters. So 25-40 are fairly interchangeable. That’s where he slots. You think he’s bonafide top 25? Hope you are not that delusional.

BTW. The Hockey Writers did a mid-season report on the leagues #1 goalies. Was released last month. They ranked them 1-31. King was 23rd. Georgiev could not unseat him. Igor did with ease.

45th in GA Avg, 31st in save%, 29th in GSAA. Backup caliber. Good one. But...
