Yikes, giving up assets for Smith, even 50% retained I'd still rather have Trotman playing nightly than him, Goldy has 0 value, picks will likely be less than 5 slots apart, I'd say no retention on jugs, and if VAN can't find the cap, there should be plenty of teams who can, trading Simon, the one "Crosby winger" who is actually good elsewhere in the lineup (obv Guentzel, I think he's grown past being just a "Crosby winger tho) for a lottery ticket, no thanks, and that Murray trade... Oof, yes the second is early, but the two thirds+ Pavlychev should be enough to trade up (considering it took like a 6th to trade up 8 or so spots in the second round in 2018 for Hallander, two thirds+big Rus should be enough, or close to it) then you're trading Murray for LGD (roughly a third in perceived value, though I personally wouldn't pay that) and a third... Yes it's early, but a third is still a third, once you start slipping a few rounds into the draft, a few spots here or there usually isn't gonna make a huge difference...
