this wouldnt happen, leafs give up a solid prospect and a cost controlled winger who is having a solid season also, a 2nd and a 4th for what an expiring forward who is not as good as kappy but is having a better season due to the increased min this year and is much older, and an ok right handed defense man who is also expiring. from the leafs side it doesn't make much sense to do this.

DeAngelo is nice piece to add - Replaces Barrie next year, would be able to run with Muzzin and at about 4/5 million per

Muzz DeAngelo
Reilly. Holl
Sandin Dermott/Lilly

Not a bad blue line

the thinking is that fast is still valuable and arguably can step into kapanens place in the lineup while bringing a different dimension to Toronto's game: defense help and some grit...plays in NYR top 6 effectively too

All the extras are not needed, but I'm sure there's a deal there Involving Kapenen and DeAngelo

Gotta believe the Leafs do that trade if only for the reason of solidifying the RHD for next year...and a few more years of control for DeAngelo. If anything the Leafs might have to add.
But a good thought on the trade Jambo.

I am disinterested in trading for a goalie at this point. I am also disinterested in giving up Jost (top 10 pick who's development may be slow, but is coming along), a 1st AND 2nd rounder for Kreider. He would be a great addition to the Avs, but the Avs could also keep all of those pieces and let it ride. Even if that group only makes it to the 2nd round again, the cup window juuuuuust opened up.

I can't see Colorado being to interested in Georgiev, Francouz has been great. Why pick up a backup just to flip an arguably better one.

This isn't the worst thing, but still a bit doubtful about his defensive play. From what I've watched/heard, he just seems to me like another Barrie/Rielly type and I'm not sure that's what the Leafs need. He's a 65% OZ start guy, the Leafs need a guy they can trust to start 65% of his shifts in their own end, not the other team's end.

If the Leafs decide that Kapanen is getting traded, I think Dubas should look around more. And if they can't find anything better, they can look at Deangelo. But he shouldn't be priority #1.

this trade heavily favors the leafs and you still don't want it. c'mon.

this site has made me dislike bracco. the leafs can keep him.

so i was reading sports net and here is what they say about Krider

"So while Kreider still represents the best available rental, the whole market is a little soft less than a month from the deadline. Outside of a highly motivated buyer getting entangled in a bidding war, it seems the only other way Kreider could return a first is on the condition he re-signs with whatever team trades for him."

so i agree with you they get a 2nd for him or the prospect or a first based on a re-sign, they wont be getting the extra 2nd.
