Not sure Toronto is better with Daley/Glendening.

Trevor Moore as our 2LW? Surely there must be better options? I'd rather move Kerfoot then Johnsson.

Please tell me what in the Wings deal helps them?

Daley, I am fine dealing him and not expecting much in return. But if you want us to retain it cost something.

Glendening, I am willing to trade but has 1 year left and is good on face offs and PK.

You want use to eat Ceci's contract. That costs also.

So you want us to eat roughly 5 million in cap and for what Timashov and for a 5th NEXT year and a 3rd in two years from now.

The problem is this does nothing to help the Wings and every thing to help the Leafs.

Wings have no Cap issues, so no need to make this deal unless there is something of value coming back.

Timashov is a perfect player for them... Nielsen, Andelkader, Helm and a Few others all play a physical game. With Timashov you add a fast, cheap, skilled player, exactly what DET needs.

3rd= getting rid of Ceci
5th=Daley
Timashov=Glendening

Ahh.....Daley is only an NHL players still because he plays on the Leafs. He is definitely not an upgrade over Ceci.

Now before you go off an say a whole bunch of nonsense about how terrible Ceci is and how much of a homer I am and whatever else, let me say this first.

Ceci is overpaid and is definitely not a top pair or even a 2nd pair player. Having him play sheltered minutes on the bottom pair though is fine. If he made 2 million a year, he'd probably be considered a very good bottom pair guy. Daley though? He's way too old to be of use. Also keep Glendening, he is not at all worth picking up. TO has enough faceoff guys.

Anything that brings the wings closer to 1st OA helps the wings, plus you got a young player, A RHD that can be flipped (we all know how valuable any RHD not on the Leafs is) and a couple picks

Ceci isn't a problem as long as he's playing on the bottom pair. Glendening makes too much and isn't worth acquiring. I would scrap that whole trade. I don't think any of this really helps the Leafs.

Yeah this isn't good, for these reasons and others. Why jettison Johnsson exactly? For an upgraded pick in a few years??

It doesn't make you better. Glendening for Timashov, so experience and faceoffs improved, Daley for Ceci, almost even, Campbell instead of Hutch, probably an upgrade, but then you GIVE AWAY Johnsson. That is poor decision making, and probably asset management

Isn't TO #1 in the league or at least top 3 in Faceoffs? Glendening isn't needed. Ceci is definitely better than Daley, Daley is only in the NHL because of how bad Detroit is. Campbell could be better than Hutch but who knows. When Hutch hasn't had to face 14 breakaways a game, he's been pretty good. Very poor asset management.

Hahaha, yeah man, I was looking for a positive to the Detroit trade there.
Not to mention that we hope to have Mihkey back for the playoffs, so until more injuries happen, the press box is the most likely place for either of those 4th liners. Depth is nice, but this is clearly making the team worse
