Description
Sweeney re-signs Kreider. Let Krug walk as he wanted too many years and too much money. Studnicka starts as a RW to get comfortable at the NHL level and transitions to center once Krejci walks as a UFA. Also, Studnicka can move up and down the lineup as needed.

i have a feeling Chara will retire next year and letting Krug walk would create a huge whole on the back end with both of them gone. i would think Krug will take the discount to stay hopefully something like 7 for 6 years i think works for both sides, i'd personally rather have Krug than Krieder, 50 point Dmen are hard to find.

some team is going to overpay for Halak to be their number one he won't be with the bruins next year

other than that everything looks good.

You are going to have to offer better prospects then that to get Kreider without trading a 1st

    1. Ditch the heinen trade. Doesn’t help.
    2. Use the left over cap space you have and give it to grzelcyk and debrusk, because they certainly aren’t accepting those deals.

man everyone on here acts like kreider is the second coming of jagr or something. guy is on track to have his best year as a pro at 54 points. This is his peak. there is no more potential to be untapped here. he is a pure rental. He wont go for nearly as much as people think. Boston "overpaid" for rick nash. they traded a first, a 7th, matt beleskey, ryan spooner, and ryan lindgren. 2 of those 3 players were buyouts. lindgren looks okay, no idea what he will eventually become but hes not top pair talent projection at this point. so they really gave up a 1st to get rid of beleskey and spooner.

I'd be surprised if they had Studnicka on the RW. They (management) said earlier this year that if Studnicka plays for Boston it'll be as a center.

I feel like you don't really know how auctions work. Kreider is a playoff machine, he plays a very physical game, is fast, and can score. Every contending team that could use an upgrade on the wing going into the playoffs that has the cap space to bring him in will be looking to make an offer. Rangers will even be willing to retain up to half his salary if its the best offer.
These teams include; your division rivals Tampa Bay and Florida. As well as; Carolina, Columbus, NYI, Philly, Pittsburgh, Washington, Colorado, Dallas, St. Louis, Arizona, Calgary Edmonton, and Vancouver. But hey go ahead and offer your 2nd and perma AHLers

he is a half point player in the playoffs. not a "playoff machine" He had one really good year where he had 13 points in 15 games. the following year he had 7 goals in 19 games. outside of that he has been average at best. Go back and look at the rental market transactions over the last 3 or so years. Ide be shocked if he got more than a first and a conditional pick.
