Most of these are optimistic but decent enough, except for the Isles one. That one is way off.

Tatar deal needs 1 of the 3 following things

Caufield
Hallander
or the 2nd into a 1st round pick

the big power forward Caufield is prefered.
he's not a future all star but he's gonna be a 20 goal scorer in the league at the 3rd line level adding some grit to the mix .

Hallander and our pick Olofsson drug a regular minor league team into the SHL based on their play together on PP .
also another future middle 6 regular but has upside towards a 2nd line regular spot after 4-5 seasons

1st is obviously prefered over all the above

check him out

saw him at the U-17 WHC up here in Quebec and he's just positionally always where Armia hangout out along the boards and driving the net .
he had some success offensively that way but the important thing i noticed was all the time he created in the OZ just battling .

he's no superstar but he's a type of player we'll need more of especially if god forbid we lose Gallagher as a UFA .

i just like that he plays a role in a way that MTL doesnt have many of
he's last of the 3 options above for me but still worth mentioning as he'll just get better as he grows into his 6'3 frame at just 18
i also liked his speed for a big man , not Armia good but more like a Thompson in the fact its steady and for short bursts deceptively fast.(with potential to grow as he's just 18)

Do you really think a contender would give up a 2nd rounder for a guy they could have signed 3 weeks ago for 700k in cap space? lmao

what was he doing 3 weeks ago ?
sitting out a couple months practicing with no teams just by himself .

it makes sense that everyone including Bergavin was skeptical about signing him .
as soon as MB signed him the first press conference he did '' its on him, if he fails we lose nothing but if he succeeds that puts us in a good position for no cost''

Kovalev's done amazing but i dont think we sell him
i think its worth the declining ticket sales to push Kovy-Mania
its not worth moving him IMO

i think he put us in a position to Sell Tatar without turning the team into a team that leads the league in shots while having one of the worst offense's in the NHL.
Kovy doesnt replace Tatar in any way he just helps distract fans during the transition .
