I know no one wants to trade roster players, but as we know from Kadri we have to give to get.

Kap is playing a limited role on the 3rd line and Andersson has elite potential AND can step in right away to fill the hole. As an added bonus, Andersson plays C too for additional options

This year has shown that our minor league depth can handle the NHL so why not make a move for an elite prospect and high end backup

With regards to the "Backup". Georgiev has shown that he can one day be a Starter. If Freddy asks for too much in his next contract this trade gives us a replacement for our lord and saviour Freddy Andersen. I hate the idea of a team without Fred but its a real possibility that he moves on when his contract is up.

I made this trade for this year, but realistically it would most likely happen in the summer.
