Pretty sure the Hawks aren't doing that. Murphy's been amazing and is under contract for 2.5 more years. They'll use him as long as they can...and if the Hawks don't improve in 2 years...THEN they'll trade him for a 1st and 2nd rounder. But, not this year. Doesn't make sense for the Hawks organization. They want MORE Connor Murphy's. Not less.

You can have Maatta for cheap instead. Solid #4 defenseman, can be paired with Niku to help his development. Arguably a better option than Dillon.

Blashill being a crap coach might have something to do with it. Really wouldn't hesitate to make this deal, Roslovic isn't producing much on the 2nd line and the Jets have almost zero production from their 3rd and 4th lines, they need help scoring and Athanasiou isn't a rental.

Pretty solid bottom pairing actually, before Sbisa got hurt he was playing well and Poolman is doing great but is better suited to the 2nd or 3rd pair rather then the top pair where he is now, he is doing good though.

Only ever jets, first ever draft picks 27 ish now, most thrashers have come and gone, just feel it’s a transition, growing pains year on blueline and not to add any roadblocks for the youth until a decision is made. Fans need to grin and bear it until next year and it’s turned into a 3 year all in window and rebuild. Equals out to a longterm laine or deal him before he walks and possibly a sell high on scheifele point.

Cause that's where 1C's are typically drafted, Chevy needs to get on the horn and try to improve this team while Scheiffele is in his prime and on his cheap deal,
waiting around for every draft pick to MAYBE materialize into a player for the Jets will take FOREVER!

No team is built only through the draft.

Oh and I should add they're starting to lose fan support, fans are realistic but doing nothing and waiting/hoping some drafted kid is gonna come along and be a savior isn't acceptable.

Fair enough, I tend to agree, but I think with heinola and samberg coming and some of the kids that have been around for a bit poolman and niku, I believe the blueline could some what fix itself, possibly with a kulikov type buy when kulikov contract runs out and then I would fire at a 2c with moose and future draftpicks. As I said after kulikov contract runs out and buffy decision, this is kind of a development, right off sorta season. And the all in begins with a draft day blockbuster and a buy on july 1, with a 3 year window projection. Jets probably for the fanbase going to keep competive instead of a all in move, but we will see
