Description
Interesting to see how Vegas could have shaped out if they pulled the trigger on a Karlsson trade at 17/18 deadline and went for Tavares in free agency

(I’m aware it’s over salary cap I put a lot of work into this I don’t want to redo)

He's very passionate and a real buzz-saw when he disagrees with you. I hope you enjoyed his battle with @coga16 under his 50-Point Second Line post. It concerned a Colorado construction and, as I interpret it, was whether Drouin is worth Timmins and a first-round pick.

    I'll check it out!

Oh, I read through the competing posts two or three times. I don't consider you the aggressor at all. Still, I like Seby and value his opinions highly. I just wish he would calm down a little. In his defense, there is frequently only a fine line between opinion and idiocy, and sometimes Seby overreacts to the former as if it were the latter.

I respect passion in a fan base but there is a weird avs and habs connection now that muddies the water. When it comes to Drouin he’s ignites it, same as price.

I can fully admit I drink the kool aid and get homerish but i will argue I align with Sakics approach of not being in the business of trading away what he has built up. I am pretty consistent when I say that’s a bad trade for the avs, not a bad trade in terms of value as a blanket statement for other teams. Not all team trades are consider equal

It’s just puzzling when other fan bases try to lecture you on what your own team should do. Their cup window
Just opened so they don’t have to blow all their assets in year 1 of a 4 year window

See, I think that the only teams that should be interested in trading for Drouin are Calgary, the Islanders, Columbus and Dallas because those are the only teams contending for playoff spots that are at the bottom of the offensive standings other than the 11 virtually guaranteed non-playoff teams (who shouldn't be trading away first-round picks at all). And I think Montreal would be loath to trade Drouin within the Conference. And Dallas has only 3 forwards on the major team (Dickinson, Hintz and Gurianov) who are under 26, so they might well be looking for a 24-year-old sniper. Colorado, on the other hand, had scored more goals than ANY OTHER TEAM through 41 games, so what do they need Drouin for?

That’s exactly the reason why he doesn’t make sense and why they would never trade a top prospect and a 1st. Offense isn’t their issue.

A 2nd line winger who has a strong 2 way game is the target, bc you need to have one with mackinnon to make his line work

Kreider is a much better fit than Drouin when you consider the fit. And I was mulling around an idea how they can get georgiev too, I think they could invest in a young goalie
