Ouch... sabres fans must be at their whits end. Should have just put scandella on the wing. I get they have to replace skinner but Frolik is just so blah. An internal replacement would have worked. Unless they are hoping for some change of scenery miracle.

Team has 10-12players in the whole organization worth something.

Goalie, defense, coach etc that couldn't hold a 3 goal lead. Last year they won 10 in a row. This year had a good stretch that out performed their talent. They're not that good...

What more was he going to get for Scandella? Both are upcoming UFA's, pretty much $4$. If there is a bigger trade coming Scandella wouldn't have been part of it bc of him being an upcoming UFA. I would watch for a trade with NJ

I mean I said Frolik would be a decent piece for Buffalo in the summer. He should really improve their PK. Also hes an upgrade over Scandella IMO Seems like a win for CGY and BUF, idk about MTL though

Scandella has more points than Frolik as a Dman does he not? The trade with Montreal happened first. It wasn’t a 3 way. Money moved out... ripe with picks an prospects. In dire need of a 2c and 2rw... gets a 4lw.... buffalo has a ton of this for way cheaper.

i agree but Scandella won't get you that he's going to be a UFA and that's what the Sabres got in return. To get a 2nd line guy it's going to take a heck of a lot more then Scandella. I'm not saying this is a great trade and will propel the Sabres back in the playoff race but it's what you would expect in return for Scandella. I wonder if there is a bigger trade with NJ coming...it was said NJ is interested in one of our D, maybe Miller and then they trade Vatanen elsewhere.
Frolik will help on a piss poor PK unit

I do like Frolik as a PK guy I guess, but to purposefully trade for him is just like a nothing burger lol.
