Sens don't do this, the ELC of whoever that pick ends up being or the Sens own 1st offsets Ryans contract so no need to sacrifice any assets to dump him plus Meier will be needing a big extension in really not that long so if anything it'd just be adding cap issues sooner for the Sens, they'd be stupid to make this trade and I like Meier for the record.

Sens are looking at building at building a legitimate cup contender on the backs of their two top 10 picks this upcoming draft.

Even if they miss twice on the the lottery, there are players who project to be better players than Timo Meier available where they draft.
