I would consider "amateur knowledge" thinking you can trade a bunch of no name prospects for Crosby and Kane. You can have your #3 ranking in prospect pools and we'll have our 5 stanley cups in the last 30 years. How's that sound? Maybe all those "prospects" will help you actually make the playoffs for once. I really don't understand why anyone would want to be a habs fan. 2 conference finals appearances in 26 years is an impressive level of incompetence. Crosby is 32 and likely isn't going to play much longer with his concussion history, while you might not like it, it's probably the best time for Pittsburgh to sell off and still get assets to continue winning.

MTL will have to move their beloved God-King Gallagher in order to get either of these players. Sorry, just the way it is.

Not sure why they would want Gallagher. The only reason Kane or Crosby would be moved is for a full rebuild.
