I don't see MTL trading their 2020 1st when the draft is in MTL

Both teams say no, zero chance SJ sells their arguably best player on a great contract for scaps (not really scraps but certainly not what SJ needs) and a mid/late 1st and MTL doesnt have the depth pieces to replace them yet. This trade would likely make them look like Edmonton and cause them to miss the playoffs and not have a 1st rounder

No I agree I was just talking about the value. Poehling needs to stay in MTL, and I think that even if a team wanted to get him, the team's GM would have to slightly overpay to get him.

But one of those needed to go because NJ wanted a great prospect in a deal for Hall... not sure they got that (even though I like Bahl's WJC) but still, that's what I heard Shero wanted .If I were Bergevin and if I was trying to get Hall, this would've been my offer: Lukas Vejdemo, Artturi Lehkonen, Noah Juulsen (fresh start for him), Josh Brook, a 2021 1st and a 2020 3rd (becomes a 2020 if Hall resigns).
