Trades:
MTL - not mine (from @GMs) but I like the concept. Pay to free up cap and acquire a quality forward at the same time.

DAL - I was just looking for a Leddy trade partner. He's bounced back nicely this year, but rounding out this team a 3C was still a need. Leddy is one of the roster players with value. Dallas didn't have the most impressive LD depth. Figured they would like another puck mover like Heiskanen. Oleksiak is more defensive minded, solid piece for Trotz's system and thought he would fit with Mayfield.

OTT - any team. Just looking to move space. Would throw in another small prospect. But even after these moves Isles have space to take back Hickey/Leo as if the trade never happened.

    don't think MTL would accept this deal ....
    because Montreal are looking to make the playoffs this year (if no Bergevin would probably fired) and tatar is a big piece of the Montreal attack

    Boychuk has suffered for years as an Isle, just to get traded now they are good . He certainly would wangle his trade list not to include Montreal. Same as Komarov.
