In real life, Timo Meier might be the player they actually like to keep in San Jose

You must be mistaken, the sharks don’t want your scraps for Timo. Put up someone legit and we talk

I know how much you guys value Phoeling but he doesn’t move the needle for me. Timo is bad this year but is young and has a 30 goal track record. Unless I’m getting a legit top 6 potential back I’m not moving him

this is a stupid statement
anyone who knows anything about World Junior knows Ryan Poehling and Caufield not only lead the tournament in Points and Goals but Poehling helped Caufield tie Ovechkin's 2003 Scoring record of 14 goals .

MTL in no scenario is trading Poehling
only a few of our fans dont know this so they trade him willy nilly
We're gonna keep them together for sure its why Caufield was on our Radar and why MB Struted to the Draft Podium

Ylonen's a solid middle 6
Juulsens playing top minutes in the AHL (Fleury's a hard hitting head hunter so CJ is playing him over Juulsen who wont be aggressive playing like a Swede )

No Doubt the value's way off on this Meier is making more then every other forward in MTL for a reason because he's their Gallagher essentially .
But dont **** on our prospects because you dont like a deal its weak minded

I mean, that's kind of showing negatively on you also...... If you don't know who Ryan Poehling is, not sure you know much about prospects league wise.....

Jesse Ylonen is surely a top 9 with top 6 upside. Same for Poehling.

I know all of the players, now tell me this, would you want a potential 3c, a meh bottom sixer and a long shot AHLer for someone like Drouin or Gallagher?

you stop reading before the final 2 lines answered this question ?
should i repeat myself or can we admit you're grandstanding hoping for acceptance
rather then just admitting you said something stupid and move on .

those who cannot admit error are doomed to repeat them without ever learning to grow

P.s
Poehling WJC MVP
Ylonen WJC Gold Medalist

Juulsen i'll give you but Sharks havent got a single Prospect that can boast what Poehling and Ylonen can be age 20

Let me be clear, If I was SJ, I wouldn't do this trade either.

By that same token, not wanting to do this trade does not automatically mean the players offered are garbage, which is what some of you seem think for some reason.

You can decline and it not be a disgrace of an offer at the same time. Things don't have to be so black or white.

Gally's coming to 30+ goals season and is looking at over 30 this one too and cost less than 4 millions. You should really go out sometimes. Sharks are bad this year but dont take your anger on everyone else

I’ll believe that when I see it. I’m not sold that Ylonen even has a chance at the NHL(although I do not know the player that well)

Ylonen's playing with men for 2 years now putting 0,5 ppg. He has legitimate chance to play NHL.

Not sure why you think this is a lesson? I didn’t say the players are bad, but they aren’t the kind of big name guy that gets you a timo Meier. Prospect like this are always the guys fanbses try to move in undervalued deals like this one. If you want someone like Meier, either you overpay, or you put up a very good prospect

Dude I just realized Timo scored 30 last year! And he’s much younger! And has a physical presence. Wonder why I made the comparison

I wouldnt bother ,its like pissing in the wind

Some people like ourselves watch and support all avenue's of Hockey likely both attending games for Multiple Leagues and Events which has given us perspective on development among other things .

Papishark is a guy who got no respect for anyone who isnt on a Fantasy Roster telling me he's only interested in what a player does today as he has not ability or knowledge to gauge development .

I understand that trade posted by Marco. In Meier's four years as NHLer (counting this year), he has been average seasons for two seasons and two good seasons. So he isn't a powerhouse at 6m for 3.5 years necessarily. This season he's on pace for 50 points.
He's one of few expensive Sharks that could be traded If the Sharks want to retool, this type of trade would do it.

Did I not already tell you I know the prospects? I know you guys love Phoeling but I do not think he’s the type of guy the sharks should even consider moving Meier for. Ylonen has potential but is 20 and not scoring at a great rate overseas. Juulsen is likely to never be good enough for the NHL.

I agree but this trade isn’t good enough to move him. If he’s going to be moved, selling at his lowest point isn’t the smart move.

Cheehoo scored 50 early on to
look at what happened to him after SJS
Setegochi scored 30 his 2nd year Pro at age 32 he's yet to repeat it

your system is solid and your strength comes from that
when your players leave SJS they all basically have to leave for Europe to find work

Lol This thread right now.

You guys notice how defensive everyone gets about trades with their teams players and immediately need to bring down the others in order to feel validated??
