Kase isn't what people claim he is. He's a middle six forward. His value is not what it was a year ago today.

They have perhaps the deepest prospect pool in the league. They can afford to give up Jones (who is IMO one of the weaker of the talents) and Kase before his value diminishes to nothing

And did you forget about their 1st round pick in one of the strongest drafts ever, not even lottery protected!

I am an Oilers fans and despise the Ducks, I ****ing hate them actually, even worse than the Flames.. Kessler is ****head, along with Perry/gone and Getzlaf

My point here is that they have a crap tonne of talent in development and cracking into the league now. Some of those assets are expendable and can be put into getting someone like hall, as well as utilizing their cap to extend him. I don't suggest that Anaheim do this UNLESS he extends.

simple surface statistics reveal he isn't a top liner. I get they had a case for that last year with a good points per game rate - but he isn't that player. He definitely has loads of value, but not what they claim him to have

Yea cuz surface stats have never steered anyone wrong... except almost every overpayment and undersell for forwards in NHL history.

i.e. David Clarkson, Cheechoo, Loui Eriksson, Jeff Carter, Marian Gaborik, Marian Hossa, Shea Theodore.
