Oilers have 0 ZERO and I mean Zip interest in an overpaid 3rd/4th line player, we are just coming out of cap hell next year and do not need to go back in it, they would rather spend the money plus on a 2nd line player for NUGE! The only reason many Habs fans want to trade Byron is because they have no patience. He has a slow start and everyone suddenly forgets how he has been on a 20 goal pace for 3 straight years while playing in the bottom 6 with little to no powerplay.

They also see the young guys doing well and want to move out the older guys who they don't see being core pieces.

You want to point to his age not being ideal, sure I can get that but to say he is overpaid based off of less than 20 games this season is as accurate as Reider's shooting last season.
