Move hornqvist or Rust too potentially for more cap space and I could totally see this. Pens have room for another top paid player based on their core

Overpay to move JJ unless Spence is decent, Almari and Riikola>>>POJ Spezza is washed up, Lafferty blueger and Johnson>>>>Spezza Hornqvist isn't a top line forward, SJ wouldn't give Chemevelski for Bjugs 1 for 1 probably, don't split up Dumo-Letang, you'll probably have to give more for MP and why move Jarry instead of Desmith, Jarry has been better than Murray so far this year, and Desmith has been struggling at the AHL level...

I wouldn't want to be stuck in that hall contract.
I don't mind them going after him in the offseason, but that number has to come down. He's coming off surgery this year. He doesn't look great. He's only got 2 goals on the year. Who knows if they really fixed the problem or if he still has some issues. We know he's not going to say and play through it.
If we are talking 9 I'd say go for it. 11, no thanks, let someone else deal with that. I'd rather not be stuck at 11 million for 7 years with a guy in his upper 20s with knee problems.
I'd rather bring in a cheaper Dadonov, Haula or Hoffman on a shorter term deal. It's easier to move if it isn't working out.
The rest of these trades. The LA trade is awful. No way they trade a guy who was lights out good in the preseason. Especially to trade a guy who's been playing well.
I think they have decided Jarry is their guy behind Murray. DeSmith will be the odd guy out.

As far as trading Bjugstad I like that trade. Not sure SJS would do that, as they are really looking at a serious retool having to happen if they are going to stay competative.
